Timmy was rescued by Laura while already living with epilepsy, a serious neurological condition that continues to shape his daily life and environment.
Because of his condition and the difficulty of leaving him alone safely, it became increasingly difficult for Laura to care for him while maintaining her work activity, especially since his presence was not accepted in her workplace. She eventually shared his story through my church group chat in the hope of finding someone able to care for him.
And that's how I met Timmy.
Since then, living with Timmy progressively became more than simple companionship. His condition requires constant adaptation, observation and environmental awareness, making human-animal coexistence itself part of everyday life rather than an occasional responsibility.
Over the past year and a half, this experience led to deeper observations around canine psychology, stress, trust and human-animal coexistence. Despite frequent misunderstandings surrounding dogs in public spaces, Timmy consistently demonstrated calm, socially adapted and non-reactive behavior in real-world environments.
Over time, Timmy became the foundation for documenting and demonstrating an advanced approach to human-animal coexistence and canine psychology based on emotional regulation, autonomy and observation.
This experience led me to release epitrack.app, a platform built around Timmy’s condition to help document seizures and support long-term epilepsy management through structured observation and data visualization.
